Our upper graded members train with the intent of competing at competition to a state or national level. We do not re-enact.

Where do we learn from

In the 14th century, the masters of the fighting arts taught all across Europe. Their teachings have been forgotten over time as combat evolved but their manuals and transcripts lived on for us to interpret and apply today.

Protective gear

A must for training

Minimum is full fingered gloves with protection to knuckles. Commercial options are available, or you can customise. For the face, a 3 weapon fencing mask is a required.

To move onto more aggressive sparring gambeson (chest protection) and joint guards are required.

The club has masks and gloves for newcomers.
